In its decision in this case the court of appeals concluded that the trial court erred in admitting certain extrajudicial statements made by an available but nontestifying complainant in a child sex abuse prosecution. State v. Larson, 447 N.W.2d 593, 597 (Minn.App.1989). The court of appeals ruled that the error was prejudicial error, assuming that the complainant was competent, as the trial court determined...
