Anthony Moman (defendant), John Crockett, and Delecta Upshaw were charged with armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 18-2). Prior to trial, the trial court severed Upshaw's case from Crockett's and defendant's, and defendant and Crockett were subsequently tried by a single jury.
