This matter comes before the court on appeal from the bankruptcy court. The issue on appeal is whether the financing statement filed by Habersham Bank is sufficient to protect its interest in certain collateral (the "disputed cars") under Georgia law. The bankruptcy court held that the bank's financing statement was sufficient even though it was filed under the debtor's trade name, "Cornelia Car City," rather than its legal name...
