Defendant, Nestor Ferro, was found guilty in a jury trial in the circuit court of Lake County of one count of unlawful delivery of over 30 grams of a substance containing cocaine (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 56 1/2, par. 1401(a)) and was sentenced to a 30-year term of imprisonment.
