The Juvenile Act, at 42 Pa.C.S. § 6302, defines "delinquent act" to exclude "[a] crime committed by a child who has been found guilty in a criminal proceeding for other than a summary offense." The trial court in this case held the exclusionary language was applicable only to crimes committed by a child after he or she had been found guilty in a criminal proceeding.
