Defendant presents two issues on appeal: (1) whether the trial court erred in allowing the State to introduce testimony that defendant practiced martial arts exercises and possessed weapons; and (2) whether the trial court erred in allowing one of the state's witnesses to testify concerning the witness' understanding of what defendant meant when he warned the witness not to tell anyone about what had happened.
