This consolidated appeal, which involves separate and unrelated causes of action, though presented to the same trial court, concerns the proper interpretation of the dramshop act. MCL 436.22; MSA 18.993. In both cases, the trial court granted summary disposition in favor of the dramshop defendants, concluding that the provisions of MCL 436.22(10); MSA 18.993(10) precluded the plaintiffs from maintaining their actions.
