Plaintiffs Central Fidelity Bank ("CFB") and Virginia First Savings Bank F.S.B. ("VFSB") filed separate complaints against the debtor to except debts from discharge pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 523(a). Since the factual patterns relied upon by the plaintiffs were similar, all parties agreed to a consolidated trial which was held on January 16 and 17, 1990.
