The defendant, Chris Froio, was charged in the circuit court of Kane County with the unlawful possession of (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 56 1/2, par. 704(e)) and intent to deliver (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 56 1/2, par. 705(e)) more than 500 grams of cannabis. The charges rose from the November 6, 1988, traffic stop which led to the discovery of the cannabis in the trunk...
