BATCHELDER, J.

The plaintiff appeals from a ruling by a New Hampshire Department of Corrections Claims Officer (Andrea J. Goldberg) awarding him $50 for damage sustained to his watch while it was in the possession of the New Hampshire State Prison authorities. We affirm.

On October 23, 1987, there was a disturbance at the prison. During the course of the disturbance, some of the prisoners set fires and threw various objects of personal and prison property...
