CORCORAN, Justice.

This case requires us to decide which of two seemingly innocent parties should bear the loss caused by the apparent fraud of a third person in passing forged checks. The plaintiff, G.P. Schoenfelder, a mandatory signatory on the account on which the checks were forged, seeks review of the court of appeals decision holding that he was not a "customer" entitled to seek recredit of the account from the bank that accepted the forged...
