Following a jury trial, defendant William M. Biesiada was found guilty of two counts of second degree murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 9-2(a)(1)) and four counts of armed violence (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 33A-2). The trial court vacated one second degree murder conviction and one armed violence conviction (predicated on the murder charge) and sentenced the defendant...
