A two-count indictment charged Peter James Williams with robbing the First Illinois Bank of Evanston, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a), and with possessing a firearm during the bank robbery, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c). Williams pleaded guilty to the bank robbery. In exchange, the government dismissed the firearm possession count.
