The government indicted fifteen men for offenses arising from their participation in an illegal gambling enterprise. Twelve of the defendants pleaded guilty, another absconded, and the remaining two, who are the appellants before us, went to trial and were convicted. Guy Giovannetti was convicted of racketeering (18 U.S.C. §§ 1962(c), (d)), conducting an illegal gambling business (18 U.S.C. § 1955) or aiding and abetting the conducting...
