On April 21, 1984, Bruce Bever was charged with a violation of I.C. § 18-8004, the DUI statute. He was convicted on May 8, 1984. He was again charged for DUI on March 4, 1985. He was convicted on July 10, 1985. Finally, he was charged for the DUI that gives rise to this appeal on March 29, 1989. Under the assumption that three DUI violations rather than three DUI convictions were required...
