This is a Social Security case. Joyce Kouril has a combination of ailments, most notably allergies to many common chemicals, that she says prevent her from working. The Secretary of Health and Human Services disagrees. After a hearing, an Administrative Law Judge found that though her health problems were serious, they would not prevent her from working as a key-punch operator — a job she held in the past.
