Defendant, Earnest Felix, was convicted by a six person jury in the Parish of Lafayette of simple burglary, a violation of La. R.S. 14:62. The trial court sentenced defendant to serve twelve years at hard labor with the Louisiana Department of Corrections. The defendant appeals his conviction and sentence on the basis of three assignments of error.
