Larry Wiggins was indicted for the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, in violation of § 13A-12-211, Code of Alabama 1975 (Supp.1989). He initially pleaded not guilty, but later changed his plea in open court to "guilty." Upon being asked by the trial judge, the appellant admitted that he sold illegal drugs. (R. 10.)
