This appeal arises from a civil denaturalization proceeding. The government brought this interlocutory appeal under 28 U.S.C. § 1292(b) (1988) to overturn Judge McAvoy's suppression of statements made by appellee Mikelis Kirsteins. The statements in question were made to Justice Department attorneys in the course of an interview requested by the government.
