Appellant challenges the district court's dismissal of his petition for writ of habeas corpus (28 U.S.C. § 2254). Appellant was convicted by a jury in Socorro County District Court on three counts of extortion and one count of telephone harassment. He alleges that the convictions on the extortion counts were obtained in violation of the right to due process of law contained in the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution...
