On September 28, 1983, Fields' daughter, Betty Jean Fields Harris, filed in the Chancery Court of Lowndes County a petition for probate of will. Harris exhibited a writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Lott Fields, duly executed by him on August 22, 1977, and otherwise complete and regular on its face...
