This is an appeal from a trial court judgment in a suit for personal injuries.

In the early morning hours of July 12, 1986, plaintiff, Joyce Williams, visited defendant, George Stevenson, at his home in Houma, Louisiana.1 Plaintiff and defendant had a long-standing friendship and sexual relationship.
