OPINION

ROSE, Justice:

After police arrested appellant Michael Jonathan Hayes (Hayes) outside of his residence for possession of stolen property, Hayes called to someone inside the residence. Police officers then entered the residence to conduct a protective sweep search for other persons who could pose a danger to the officers.
