OPINION

BRYNER, Chief Judge.

James Stoneking was convicted by a jury of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. He appeals, contending that the trial court erred in declining to give his proposed jury instruction on heat of passion and in refusing to allow the jury to hear a portion of a statement that Stoneking made to the police. We affirm.
