Defendant Rick Marcel Barrett appeals his conviction for murder (17-A M.R.S.A. § 201(1)(A) (1983 and Supp.1989)) following a jury trial in Superior Court (Lincoln County, Delahanty, J.) Defendant argues on appeal that the Superior Court erred in denying his motion for appointment of an expert in affective disorders, in finding that he was competent to continue to stand trial after defendant attempted suicide, and in ruling that he failed...
