This is an appeal from a judgment entered by the Hopkins Circuit Court in a matter involving a city police officer's discharge from employment. The sole issue on appeal is whether the trial court erred by finding that the authority to terminate appellee's employment rested in the Madisonville City Council rather than in the city's mayor.
