George Cole is a forty-three year old man with a ninth grade education. For the majority of his working life he has worked at jobs requiring heavy labor. At the time of the incident which gave rise to this appeal, Mr. Cole was employed as a forklift operator at a canning plant owned and operated by Stokely Van Camp in Gem County.
