This is a medical malpractice suit brought by plaintiff, Willie Malone, against the State, Department of Health & Human Resources, Office of Hospitals (DHHR) and one of its employees, Dr. Ronald E. Jamerson, to recover damages for loss of Malone's right leg by amputation. Plaintiff's wife, Mary Anne Malone, also filed a claim for loss of consortium. Other defendants were originally joined but were dismissed by plaintiff at the opening of trial....
