After a jury trial, defendant, Michael Elzey, was found guilty of rape (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 11-1) and armed robbery (Ill.Rev.Stat.1979, ch. 38, par. 18-2). Defendant was sentenced to 18 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
