Following a jury trial, defendant, Johnny Ray Mims, was found guilty of criminal sexual assault and sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

On appeal, defendant argues that he should be granted a new trial because the court committed plain error by: (1) allowing the victim's sister to relate a conversation she had with the victim the day after the alleged rape; (2) admitting into evidence...
