CIACCIO, Judge.

Defendant, Joseph Jamison, Sr., was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967. Defendant filed a motion to suppress the evidence, which was denied by the trial court on February 17, 1989. A twelve member jury found defendant guilty of attempted possession of cocaine. Defendant filed a motion for new trial which was denied by the trial court on May 31, 1989. He was immediately sentenced to fifteen years...
