The defendant Brown was charged by bill of indictment with one count of aggravated kidnapping (La. R.S. 14:44) and one count of armed robbery (La. R.S. 14:64). Convicted by a jury as charged, defendant was sentenced to the mandatory term of life imprisonment without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence on the aggravated kidnapping count and to 15 years imprisonment at hard labor...
