On August 16, 1985, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the plaintiff, Rushton Barrosse, was driving his car on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans in the uptown direction. One of the defendants, Catherine Monsted, was also driving a car on St. Charles Avenue in the uptown direction at the same time. As these parties approached the intersection of St. Charles Avenue and State Street, Monsted attempted to turn right onto State Street when her car was struck...
