In this civil action for money damages plaintiff Elma Hoff alleges that she sustained personal injuries following surgical implantation of a hip prosthesis manufactured and sold by defendant Zimmer, Inc. Defendant removed the action to this court pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1441(a), asserting diversity jurisdiction.
