This appeal arises out of a suit seeking reimbursement for payment made on a letter of credit. A jury determined that the plaintiff (issuer) was not entitled to reimbursement, and assessed damages against it for losses the defendants (account customers) allegedly suffered as a result of the issuer's payment to the beneficiary under the terms of the letter of credit.
