David Everrett Ramstead, defendant, was charged on November 2, 1988, with one count of felony theft and one count of misdemeanor theft pursuant to § 45-6-301(1)(a), MCA. The case proceeded to trial on March 20, 1989. On March 21, 1989, the jury returned a guilty verdict for each offense charged.
