Wortham Joseph Jones, Jr., was charged by bill of information with armed robbery, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. He was tried by a jury, which convicted him as charged. The trial court sentenced him to serve fifty years at hard labor, without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
