The Court, at defense counsel's request, conducted a Competency Hearing which commenced on September 24, 1990 and ended on October 4, 1990 to determine the competency of Joseph A. Shields, Jr., to stand trial on two counts of Murder in the first degree, one count of Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the first degree and one count of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse in the first degree.
