Joseph Johnson appeals the district court's order denying his claim for disability benefits under 42 U.S.C. § 423. We affirm.

Johnson filed his application for Title II social security benefits on February 22, 1985, alleging disability since August 15, 1978, resulting from a back injury sustained in a car accident.1 The Social Security Administration denied Johnson's application....
