This case presents the question of whether attorneys are entitled to their proceeds under a contingency fee contract, when they have been discharged by the client after obtaining the relief sought. The district court awarded the attorneys their fees pursuant to their contingency fee contract from the executed judgment in the case and deducted the amount paid to a subcontractor for assistance in preparing the appellate brief.
