Plaintiff brought this Title VII action for employment discrimination stemming from the denial of a partnership in the defendant accounting firm, Coopers & Lybrand ("C & L"), in 1985, 1986, and 1987, as well as defendant's refusal, in 1987, to transfer her to a C & L office outside of New York City.
