OPINION

BENAVIDES, Justice.

Appellant pleaded guilty without a plea agreement to murder, and the trial court assessed punishment at 45 years in the Texas Department of Corrections. We affirm.

Appellant raises two points of error. In the first, he contends that the trial court erred in conducting the "punishment phase" after discovering that appellant had not been examined by two psychiatrists, as previously ordered. In the second point, appellant...
