The appellant was convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to 35 years' imprisonment in the State penitentiary. He was further ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.

The record indicates that the victim, Earl Couch, who was 67 years old at the time of the offense, testified, through the use of a video taped statement taken at a preliminary hearing, that on the morning in question, the appellant's accomplice...
