Kay Dee Bell, Jr. was held in civil contempt of court for his refusal to obey a district court's order compelling him to testify before the grand jury under a grant of use immunity. Finding that his refusal to answer the lone question propounded by the grand jury was without just cause, the district court ordered Bell confined for contempt for the duration of the grand jury or until he purges himself by testifying, but in no event longer than...
