TYSON, Judge.

Willie James Wheeler was indicted for attempted murder, in violation of §§ 13A-4-2 and 13A-6-2, Code of Alabama 1975. The petit jury found him "guilty as charged in the indictment." The trial judge thereafter sentenced him to 25 years' imprisonment as a habitual felony offender and ordered him to pay $1,000 to the Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Fund.
