Plaintiff, Linda A. Broussard, filed suit against defendant, Delchamps, Inc., for injuries she sustained when she slipped and fell in defendant's store located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Defendant answered the suit in the form of a general denial. A jury heard the case on September 13 and 14, 1988. After deliberations the jury found both plaintiff and defendant to be at fault for the injuries sustained by plaintiff. It assigned plaintiff 85% of the fault...
