Thirty-three plaintiffs commenced this action against Monsanto Company in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis on February 28, 1986. Sixteen plaintiffs are or were employed by Westinghouse Electric Corporation at its Bloomington, Indiana plant, seven at its Muncie, Indiana plant and ten at its Cincinnati, Ohio plant. Plaintiffs alleged they were injured as a result of exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls ("PCBs") and other allegedly toxic chemicals...
