Rayne, filed suit against defendant, Francis Dickerson Barrington, seeking the return of $8,500.00 which was paid to defendant out of the proceeds of a sale of property (a tract of land with a house thereon) located at 3537 Chippewa Street in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.1
