Following a joint bench trial with codefendant, Christopher Kellum,1 defendant, Kennard Combs, was found guilty of 12 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, one count of home invasion, one count of armed robbery, one count of attempt armed robbery and 3 counts of aggravated unlawful restraint. (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1987, ch. 38, pars. 12-14, 12-11, 18-2, 8-4 and 10-3.1, respectively...
