On July 9, 1990 this cause came before the Court for a hearing on the merits of Wallace Norrell Thomas' second petition for writ of habeas corpus, filed in this Court on July 5, 1990, and on Thomas' motion for a stay of his execution, scheduled for July 13, 1990.
